McUnhappy Meal

Yesterday I had my dinner at McDonald SS2, PJ. Again, the double-story restaurant was full packed. After me and my roommate purchased our food, we went upstairs to avoid the crowd. To our surprise, the 2nd floor is also almost full, frustrated and heck care anymore as we're like fools holding the tray walking around.  So the two of us just take the six-seated table. What can we do, since there's no more places to seat. Pay to eat also so difficult.

(How can I satisfies both type of customers?)

I was wondering why the place is so packed, so many people take McD as their dinner meh? After looking around, I noticed that, out of 10 tables, only three are having their meal while the rest are doing their own business. No other words can describe these people beside calling them selfish, ignorance and showing off.

Since McDonald's are providing free wireless service and bottomless drinks, these benefits really brings a lot of disappointments, frustrations and dissatisfaction to their "really dine-in" customers. Is good that such services are offered for customer's comfort and conveniences but to some they're more likely taking full advantages on this. If not because of these people, there would be plenty of places for customers like us who really comes for the foods.

(Suppose to be like this, not crowded with computer's geeks and nerds)

Just like yesterday, when we step our foots into the restaurant, we felt like as though we're entering a library or multipurpose hall. Really. The same happen in 2nd floor. Majority of them are students. I really don't know what wrong with student nowadays. Issit a trend for them to studies in restaurants nowadays? Look more cool mah? There was this group of almost dozen of them just mostly chatting, laughing their throat out but their notes are scatters on top of the table and worst, they never order even a cup of drinks. Really KNN them. Another guy was sitting there alone in a six-seated table trying hard on memorizing something bacause you can see it on his expression. He is the worst among all. He don't want other sit near him, so he put books and magazines on the chairs around the table he is sitting. So everyone coming up thought that was occupied. This guy really need to be tiu-ed by others. (Really wishes them fails in their exams, I mean how can you absorbs things into your brains in such environment, music and the noise) Many have no places to seat because of this bunch of monkeys. "Gao Gao Zhan".

 (GO PLAY FAR FAR!!)

Same things happened downstairs where many students occupying one table alone, sprawling out their labtops, wireless modem (P1), and whatever gadgets that can be show off on their table to the extends speakers also they bring along. (Guys, if you think people will impress at you because of your gadgets, sorry to say, seriously we're NOT, we only thinks that you look pity as though you have no roof above your head. Sincerely wishes you not to get rob on your way back home)

(McDs in Malaysia sud hav a corner like this)

Apart from the students, there is an old couple showing off their "professionalism" by scribbling notes with having those "I think I am elegant" look but look pathetic on occupying the 4 seated table while it's only two of them and putting all sort of colors plastic bags containing foods not from McD. Funny part is, there comes these two girls for using the free wireless and sat on the table next to them. I noticed that they stare hard at the girls and whispering criticizing them. (But hey, what say you when you and your wife are also doing the same thing, some more you thick face couple brings in outside foods. Criticized people wor)

More still, McD also had already becomes hubs for insurance agents. Is really ok and not wrong for meeting your clients over at McD to discuss or explains those insurance thingy or policies having you order at least some foods or even a cup of tea. See also not so angry but heck no wor, they just sit there as though as McD is their reception centers. I really have no idea why there are so many inconsiderate buggers nowadays.

(Unrelated picture, simply put only)

I really hope that the management of McD will do something to protects and priorities are given to customers who really goes McD for the foods. It is not wrong that you can do your personal stuffs in McD, but people, please be considerate a bit and have some common sense. Imagine when this scenario happens..this child  finally managed to nag his/her parent to bring him/her to McD. The child was so happy on the way to the restaurant while thinking of the happy meal's toy and he/she can plays in the playground. When they reached only to see that the place was fully occupied by these "people", so nothing can be done but to leave the restaurant. The child was wailing out loud having put down by the inconsiderate crowds, wasn't this sad?

People, please try to think and do be considerate. We all know that McD are fully air-conditioned (which is nice) and provides with wireless and bottomless drinks but this doesn't mean that you have to fully utilizes till its bring inconveniences and difficulties to others. If you guys still think that this is your right as a customer and no rules stating that there are such and such only you can dine-in in McD, then I really have nothing to say. Just hoping that one day you will see that such attitudes will irritates and bring troubles not to others but you, yourself.

  1. i am working in McD as a part timer..(still doing my degree)
we have these situation in my store too.. i sometimes got complaint by customers when they come with family to 'really' eat and cant get any seat because many students 'lepak' and conquer the seats, buy a cup of coke and keep refill the same cup, stay there of a few hours..(i'm a student i think library provide waaayyy much better environment to study, and i dont purposely go to my store to study)..we dont say we dislike them because we serve all of our customers equally, and as good as we can but they somehow raise problems to other customers. I asked my managers about the situation but we really cant do anything about it, because, they are customers too who misuse the concept of 'customers are always right'...

  2. That's why, these customers really need to hav some common sense. My suggestion is, I hope in future, McD can allocate a corner where these customers can surf net, study or lepaking there. Only within this area. This is to ensure really dine-in customers are not neglected. Fair and square...
