Back Cover text
Just what does it mean to be a pendatang? Does being a pendatang mean that you forfeit any sense of ownership upon this land? Who counts? Or rather, who does not? And more importantly, does it even matter? Because we Malaysians are, after all, a hodgepodge of races, not easily classifiable, or even quantifiable.

Found In Malaysia explores this contentious and political issue, at a critical juncture in our nation's history, in an attempt to reveal who Malaysians are and who the pendatang are among us.

These are Malaysians who do not fall neatly into the official racial or religious categories. They are united despite the fifty-year age difference between the oldest and youngest candidate by their shared diversity of backgrounds and beliefs, and by their stories and aspirations that cut across racial and religious barriers. they are all of them, truly Malaysian.

In this compilation of 50 meticulously selected interviews from the news and analysis website, The Nut Graph, notable Malaysians share memories of growing up in this pre- and post Independence nation; they offer tales of their ancestry and historical origins; recount cherished anecdotes from relatives and loved ones; and articulate their hopes and dreams for Malaysian's future.

This collection features interviews with personalities such as Tiara Jacquelina, Datuk Sheila Majid and Chef Wan; AirAsia's CEO Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes; directors Jo Kukathas, Zahim Albakri and Bernard Chauly; and politicians Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz, Sivarasa Rasiah, Datuk Shahrir Samad and Nurul Izzah.

Exclusive Interviews With:
Zaid Ibrahim

First glance at the cover of the book, I have the urge wanting to proceed to the cashier counter and purchase the book. The color, the design and the familiar faces featured which I like and admire so much such as Kua Kia Soong, the author of 13 May, Namewee who wrapped in controversy of his national anthem Negarakuku, Datuk Zaid Ibrahim, a prominent lawyer and politcian, Terry Ong, radio producer and presenter on RedFM, Datuk Rafidah Aziz, Nurul Izzah, daughter of Anwar Ibrahim, and lots more.

There are so many interviews that features in this book.  Some are very inspiring, some shre their views on Malaysian's culture, and some are really eye openers. I always like to read compilation interviews especially those that touches about Malaysian's cultures, despite our differences in races, religions, views and opinions, it makes me always feel, I am still Malaysian. We share this land of bliss, the peace, and the stillness in this country. Not only me but like most of the Malaysian interviewed here, we are longing for the ideal Malaysia where racism and political ideology doesn't play much damaged as what is happening now.

This book is really a good read. From the design, the way the compilation been arranged, the pictures featured in each interviews and most of all the paper material.

The price for the book is RM45.00 and from now till 4th November 2010, Found In Malaysia are featured in Popular Bookstore PopChoice where members are entitled for 20% rebate. So you know where to get them.
